Barney Schwartz Park

RRM Design Group prepared a master plan for the City of Paso Robles, knitting the Barney Schwartz Park together through a well-designed landscape of trees, paths, and public gathering areas. The Barney Schwartz Park, which opened in 2002, is approximately 39 acres and features soccer and softball complexes for local and regional league and tournament use. The upper portion of the park also features a lake with a plaza, a playground, a waterfall, and a picnic area. To obtain local input, RRM conducted several workshops with AYSO, Adult Soccer League, softball league, and Little League interests. RRM presented the Park’s Master Plan to the Parks Advisory Committee, the Planning Commission, and the City Council. Following Plan approval, RRM prepared construction documents and provided construction administration. Barney Schwartz Park now serves as the primary active-use recreational resource in the community.
