Meek Estate Park West Terrace
RRM was hired by the District to prepare a concept plan for the West Terrace area of Meek Estate Park, a 9.75-acre public park, featuring the historic mansion of one of Alameda County’s first farmers. RRM’s concept plan featured a design that complemented the historic character of the park, with elements such as a gazebo, a formal rose garden, a vine-covered trellis, and a central plaza area with a specimen tree. This design would allow the West Terrace to become a destination location for the many weddings and events that occur year-round at Meek Estate Park.
