Rosemead Housing Element Update
RRM was hired by the City of Rosemead to complete the 2021-2029 Housing Element Update. The Southern California Association of Governments allocates a total of 4,612 units for Rosemead’s 6th Cycle Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA) numbers. The forthcoming Housing Element outlines development feasibility and strategies for those units, taking into account the State’s ever-changing housing legislation, the City’s existing Housing Element, General Plan, and other related documents. The project team is in the process of completing the policy document this year as the adoption of the element is mandated by October 2021. Furthermore, Senate Bill 379 (SB379) prompted a complimentary public safety element update and the development of environmental justice policies, both of which are being addressed as a part of this effort.
